I went into the lighthouse witches completely blind, and was immediately swept away into the world CJ Cooke created. I truly can not explain to you all how much I loved this book!! It was one wild ride 😂

I can’t express how much I loved this book and will be buying a hard copy when it’s out! Other elements that I loved were the focus on mother-daughter relationships and the interwoven Scottish folklore, especially involving the fae and wildlings. If you’re a fan of multiple POVs set in the past and present that start to weave together, you’ll love this.

Cooke has shown herself to be a master at keeping you hooked, I read this book in a matter of hours because I just couldn’t put it down. And when all the threads pulled together they REALLY pulled together. I read quite a lot of thrillers so it takes something good to keep me guessing, but I genuinely had no idea where this book was going until the end. I had high expectations going into it based on the blurb but this book has surpassed my expectations a hundred times over. It has everything you could want, a moody, atmospheric location, witchy elements, a touch of the supernatural and well written unreliable narrators. Right The Lighthouse Witches has made my top 10 favourite books EVER.
